Stefanie Masciandaro and Brian Centrone at RBF

Yesterday was the 7th Annual Rainbow Book Fair here in New York. bd and NLSP partnered this year to set up a table at our very first ever book fair. It was a great experience. If you came out to see us, THANK YOU! And if we met you for the first time, THANK YOU! We loved sharing our work with you and we really appreciate your support. We had the pleasure of Stefanie Masciandaro helping us woman our table all day. This woman rocks! You’ll definitely want to check out her work in Startling Sci-Fi.

Michael Harren also read from Tentative Armor at the fair, and Brian Centrone read his latest poem from the Fall 2014 Minetta Review. There were a host of other readings throughout the day too but, of course, we had to staff our table… but if you came out, hopefully you got to hear some great readings!

Below is a short video clip showing our table. You can see the video installation I put together. It was a pretty simple setup. I used my Raspberry Pi–a really cool DIY sort of computer that fellow arty geek DIY_DESTRUCTION got me into–to put it together. The display was a constant loop of the book trailers for Brian Centrone’s Erotica and Michael Harren’s Tentative Armor. I really want to find ways to incorporate the Pi into new projects going forward. Tech + Art = ♥
